Virginia "Gini" Cruz Santos is a Filipina Animator at Pixar Animation Studios.

Early Life and Education

Raised in Pasay City, Philippines, Santos studied at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, where she took up Fine Arts with a major in Advertising. She then earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Computer Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York. ^[1]Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page).

Career

She began her career as an art director an ad agency, but left in 1993 because she felt that the job was holding her back artistically. In 1996, Santos landed her job as a Pixar animator when she submitted her short feature reel “The Eclipse” which looked at human relationships. Toy Story 2 was her first project and her other known work includes: Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Toys Story 3, Up and Brave. ^[2]
